WHEN ARE CITIES CHOSEN TO HOST THE OLYMPICS? // CUANDO SE ELIGE A UNA CIUDAD PARA QUE ALBERGUE UNOS JUEGOS OLÍMPICOS?

 Every two years, major cities from around the world make competitive bids to the International Olympics Committee for a chance to host the Olympic Games. 

The big choice always happens seven years before any given games (unless something radical occurs prompting an emergency reassignment). The lucky winner then has time to build facilities, determine mascots, prepare the opening ceremony and deal with all the other tasks that need to occur to launch a successful Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Here, you have a list of the European cities which host Summer Olympic Games.

3. There are three main institutions involved in running the EU. NAME THEM AND WRITE WHERE THEY ARE.

4. CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING EU LANDMARKS.

Use the Internet or an encyclopedia to answer these questions and to find photos of the landmark.

• Describe the landmark.
• Which historical period does it belong to?
• Which EU member country is it in?
• Why was it built?
