The Olympic Spirit
The Olympic Games has been the scene of many
great sporting moments. We have seen the fastest athletes, the strongest
athletes, the athletes who could jump higher or longer than their competitors.
They have honoured the Olympic motto of Citius Altius Fortius and become the
best in the world. However, Pierre de Coubitín also said that,
"The most
important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as
the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The
essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well."
Given this, we have also
been witness to some amazing acts of mental fortitude, courage and
tenacity. In the video above, which will take you to Youtube, (you cannot see
it directly but click on "ver en Youtube") you can
see a Top Ten of Incredible Olympic Moments.
